The Wonderful World of Disney Restaurants |
by Robert Patterson |
Dining at a Walt Disney World® Resort restaurant is always a
unique and tasty experience. The imaginative and creative spirit of the theme parks is not
lost on the resort restaurants or cuisine. From American dishes to the cuisine of
Zimbabwe, Walt Disney World® Resort has it all. Over 150 restaurants at the
Walt Disney
World® Resort make it possible for you to find just about every type of food imaginable. The Magic Kingdom® Park is the perfect place to begin your culinary exploration of the Walt Disney World® Resort. Drop in the Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Café for a quick lunch as you tour Frontierland® or save your appetite for Tomorrowland®'s Cosmic Ray's Starlight Café. The majority of the restaurants you will find at the Magic Kingdom® Park are counter service, inexpensive eateries serving up American classics. True food connoisseurs will want to visit Epcot® and the World Showcase. The World Showcase features internationally themed pavilion restaurants serving traditional dishes of the nations they represent. Sample the international flavors as you walk the showcase, or plan a more formal dining experience during your visit with priority seating. Guests of Disney-MGM Studios will enjoy dining at restaurants that are imaginative, entertaining and most importantly, delicious. Take a trip to the past at 50's Prime Time Café or step into the future at Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater. Dishes at Disney-MGM Studios vary from American classics like turkey legs to more contemporary meals of lobster ravioli or filet mignon. Enjoy the exotic flavors of Africa and Asia when you dine inside Disney's Animal Kingdom. Sample fare from the Tusker House Restaurant or the popular Rainforest Café as you explore this unique blend of action park and zoo. Although the theme park's best dining is international, the kids will still find plenty of American favorites to choose from. A walk along the Disney Board Walk will reveal all the great boardwalk treats reminiscent of summers by the beach. Stop into the Beaches & Cream Soda Shop for an old fashioned malt or pick up some yummy salt water taffy at Seashore Sweets. The Disney Boardwalk area is also home to varied and diverse restaurants servicing all price ranges. Sophisticated steak lovers will want to check out Shula's Steakhouse or Yachtsman Steakhouse for some choice cuts and lighter eaters will enjoy Mediterranean dishes at Spoodles or seafood and vegetarian dishes at the Flying Fish Café. Classic Disney restaurants such as Fulton's Crab House and Portobello Yacht Club are favorites of the Downtown Disney area. Downtown Disney area restaurants incorporate a nice variety of styles and flavors including Italian, Cuban and Californian dishes. A wonderful family friendly spot for dinner, the Downtown Disney area also offers a great opportunity for a romantic evening out. Tired from a long day in the parks? Spend your evening dining at one of the wonderful Walt Disney World® Resort hotel restaurants. Convenient and delicious, restaurants such as Jiko - The Cooking Place inside Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and Victoria & Albert's inside Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa are wonderful dining experiences. Creative, diverse and always tasty, restaurants inside the Walt Disney World® Resort are certain to please all food lovers. |
